If you want to have group therapy and there’s a table, keep it in a circle because it makes it more communal. It gave me the same teeth as Anna, but it also filled in my face. Is it possible if we can try fake teeth? If it doesn’t look good, let’s just drop it.” So we did a fake-teeth test, and it looked great. The next day I said to David Frankel, the director, “I notice something with her teeth.” And then I said, “Look at mine. She’s doing a funny expression, and I noticed her teeth were completely different than mine, because I have a gap tooth. I was looking at different images on the internet, and there was this one really strange image of Anna looking like she’s in kind of Halloween clown makeup. It was insane when I first saw myself in the mirror, with the wigs, the glasses, and everything. It’s crazy because when you play a part for more than a month-even though I don’t have the accent-I will start talking like her.

Glamour : What did you think when you first saw yourself in character as Anna? And we’re not just anywhere in one of Africa’s busiest and most popular cities-we’re at La Mamounia, a world-class resort that is an important setting for the sixth episode of Inventing Anna.
